About Our Company
Boynton Office Systems is owned and operated by Ron & Connie Boynton and Chad & Doreen Boynton.
Boynton Office Systems began in 1995 in Barrow, Alaska as Boynton Printing. We focused on offset printing, layout and copying for local businesses. We began in a bedroom in our house with Chad working ½ time. Within six months he was working full time and we moved to a 16 x 16 office in our local Arctic Development Council building.
Within another 6 months Connie began working full time and we moved again to a two-room office building in Barrow. Within another 6 months we leased a large quonset hut warehouse and moved our printing press and all our paper supplies to that location. Ron was now working full time also.
As we began looking at larger copiers we were presented with the idea of selling and maintaining the Canon line of copiers. We saw this as a great way to expand and began selling Canon products.
We also expanded our office line to include paper products, small printer cartridges and computer products for our local community. Doreen began working full time in our accounting office.
Our next expansion came as two contracts at Prudhoe Bay. We now maintain an office there and have two rotating technicians on staff 12 hours a day, 7 days a week.
We continued to grow and, in 2004, we opened an office in Nome. This office resembles our Barrow office and they sell ink cartridges, paper and computer products, plus our Canon line and maintenance. They have a staff of three.
Canon quickly became half of our business sales and we were no longer just in the printing business. In 2004 we officially became Boynton Office Systems, Inc.
In the summer of 2005 we opened an office in Fairbanks. We currently have machines we service in bush communities and villages all across this great state of Alaska.
